One person was reported to be seriously injured and two others were also hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash left a truck rolled over in Mundelein Sunday morning.
The Mundelein Fire Department and Mundelein Police Department responded around 9:42 a.m. Sunday to Route 60-83 and Hawley Street for a report of a vehicle crash with injuries.
Mundelein Fire Department Battalion Chief Brad Sashko said the crash involved a company truck and a red sedan.
Both vehicles came to a rest on the south corner of the intersection.
Officers arrived on the scene and reported one victim had a severe head injury, according to fire department radio traffic.
Two ambulances were called to the scene to evaluate three injured occupants of the vehicles.
The three victims were transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Sashko said.
Sashko said he did not know the conditions of the victims but said their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Fluids leaked onto the roadway from the vehicles, which were cleaned up by firefighters.
Officers partially shut down the intersection and diverted traffic for approximately an hour and a half.
Ernie’s Wrecker Service was called to upright the rolled-over truck and tow the two damaged vehicles.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Mundelein Police Department.
