Sheriff’s officials say they are seeking the public’s help after a family reported they have not seen a 43-year-old woman from North Barrington for a month now.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said they are searching for Afroze A. Khan, 43, of North Barrington.
Khan has not been seen by her family since May 30, according to Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli.
Khan was recently spotted in the Skokie area as recently as last week, Covelli said.
The sheriff’s office said Thursday that Khan’s family is trying to verify the woman is okay.
Khan is described as being 5 feet tall, 150 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
Covelli said the woman is not believed to be endangered.
The sheriff’s office said they are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Khan so officials can make sure she is safe.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call sheriff’s detectives at 847-377-4000.
