Officials say a driver was transported to the hospital after a semi-truck pulling a dump trailer rolled over off of Interstate 94 near Libertyville early Thursday morning.

The Libertyville Fire Department and Illinois State Police responded around 5:34 a.m. Thursday to Interstate 94 north of Atkinson Road near Libertyville for a vehicle crash with injuries.

The single-vehicle crash occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 at mile marker 15, according to Illinois State Police.

An investigation showed a truck tractor with a dump trailer was traveling in the westbound lanes.

A tire on the truck blew out and caused the driver to lose control of the semi.

No one was trapped in the semi-truck and the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
