Officials say two men were seriously injured and one of them had to be flown to the hospital after they were stabbed at a rodeo near Woodstock Saturday evening.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded around 8:55 p.m. Saturday to the 1300 block of Lamb Road in unincorporated Woodstock.
Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Communication Specialist Alex Vucha said emergency crews received a report of two men who had been stabbed at a rodeo.
Both victims, adult males, suffered serious injuries in the incident.
A LifeNet medical helicopter was requested and landed at the scene, Vucha said.
The helicopter flew one of the male victims to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with life-threatening injuries.
The second male victim was transported by ambulance to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in McHenry with non-life-threatening injuries.
Vucha said further details were not available for release by the fire district.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
