UPDATE: The man has been located and is safe, officials said.

T1he sheriff’s office says they are seeking the public’s help in locating an Antioch area man who went missing after leaving the hospital in Libertyville almost 10 days ago.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said they are searching for William G. Dandrea, 61, of unincorporated Antioch.

Dandrea was reported missing by his family after they had not heard from him.

Sheriff’s detectives were able to determine the last place he was seen was Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

Dandrea left the hospital on the evening of August 6 and has not been heard from or seen since, the sheriff’s office said.

Dandrea is described as being 6-foot-2 and 270 pounds. He has brown eyes and grey hair.

Officials did not provide a last known clothing description.

Dandrea lives in unincorporated Antioch but has not been seen in the area of his home.

The sheriff’s office said on social media Tuesday that they were seeking the public’s help in the case.

Anyone who spots him or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 so police can check his well-being.
