The Gurnee Police Department and Gurnee Fire Department responded around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to Route 45 and Cascade Way in Gurnee.

Gurnee Police Department Public Information Officer Shawn Gaylor said officers found a single-vehicle crash involving a red 2020 Toyota Rav4.

The Toyota sustained extensive damage after crashing into a tree.

An initial investigation showed that the Toyota was traveling northbound on Route 45 north of Cascade Way south of Dada Drive.
