A man was robbed of his car by a male suspect who pointed a gun to his head and ordered him out of the vehicle at a gas station in Waukegan Thursday.

The Waukegan Police Department responded Thursday to the Citgo gas station, 2245 North Lewis Avenue in Waukegan, for a report of a vehicular hijacking.

The victim told officers he was parked in front of the gas station in 2004 Lexus, according to a police report.

A male black wearing a blue hoodie approached the Lexus while the victim was sitting inside.

The offender was armed with a black handgun that possibly had a green laser.

The suspect opened the driver’s door of the Lexus and ordered the victim to get out of the car, the report said.

The victim complied while the suspect pointed the gun at his head.

The offender fled the scene in the Lexus. The suspect has not been arrested yet.

The incident remains under investigation by the Waukegan Police Department.
