Luke R. Wood, 38, of Skokie.

Officials say a 38-year-old man wanted in connection with an aggravated robbery in Chicago was captured by police in Waukegan over the weekend.

The Chicago Police Department said they arrested Luke R. Wood, 38, of Skokie.

Wood was wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred around 11:41 a.m. on August 30.

Police officials said Wood implied he was armed with a firearm while robbing the victim in the 6400 block of West Touhy Avenue in Chicago.

Wood stole property from the 32-year-old man and fled the scene, police said.

Members of the Chicago Police Department tracked Wood down and arrested him Saturday in the 2600 block of Grand Avenue in Waukegan.

Police officials said Wood was additionally wanted on an out-of-state warrant.

Jail records show Wood was transported to the Cook County Jail where he remains held as of Monday.
