Sheriff’s officials say they are searching for a man wanted in a home invasion where he forced entry and attacked a family member, leaving them hospitalized, in Lake Barrington Wednesday.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said they are searching for Robert R. Skoglund, 35, of Danville.

Skoglund arrived at an estranged family member’s home around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli.

Skoglund allegedly forced entry into the home in the 900 block of Shoreline Road in Lake Barrington.

Covelli said the suspect physically attacked a family member who was inside the residence.

The victim suffered broken teeth and possible broken bones.

They were transported to the hospital where they remain, Covelli said.

Skoglund reportedly fled in a dark-colored Chevrolet Impala with temporary plates. The license plate number was not known.
