Police are working to identify a man who was caught on camera attempting to break into a restaurant in downtown Lake Bluff Wednesday morning.

The incident happened around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday at Inovasi, located at 28 East Center Avenue in Lake Bluff.

John des Rosiers, who is the chef and proprietor of the restaurant, asked for his customers’ help in a social media post.

Rosiers released a photo of the suspect, who was involved in the attempted break-in.

The restaurant said the Lake Bluff Police Department was notified and is investigating.

Rosiers joked in the post that the incident took place at 1:45 a.m., which is “even later than our own personal cocktail times.”

No one was injured and the business was closed at the time.

Rosiers said the investigation is ongoing and they could not comment further.
