Portillo’s 46th restaurant in Illinois will open its doors next week in Algonquin, the company announced.
The fast-casual food chain is best known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, char-grilled burgers, fresh salads and famous chocolate cake.
The new 7,800-square-foot restaurant, located at 1801 South Randall Road near Corporate Parkway in Algonquin, officially opens next Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. that day and will include Portillo’s Vice President of Restaurant Support Michael Portillo, the company said in a statement.
Portillo’s will also present its charity partners – Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township and Algonquin Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry – with a check during the ceremony.
The location is Portillo’s 46th restaurant in Illinois and the 81st restaurant overall, the company said.
The Algonquin location is one of three new Portillo’s restaurants in Chicagoland this year, which the company said they’re “bun-believably excited.”
The restaurant will feature seating for more than 200 guests indoors and outdoors with a patio and double drive-thru lanes.
Just like all other traditional Portillo’s, the restaurant has a diner-theme interior, which draws inspiration from the 1950s and 1960s, the company said.
Guests are encouraged to sign up for Portillo’s “Birthday Club” to receive the most up-to-date information and to receive a slice of Portillo’s homemade chocolate cake on their birthday.
Career opportunities are available on the company’s website.
