Police say they are seeking the public’s help in locating the owners of two ducks, who are possibly injured, found along Route 120 in Lakemoor Friday morning.

The Lakemoor Police Department said they received a call about an injured duck on Route 120.

Officers responded and located two ducks near Sweet Melissa’s Pizza and Pub, 134 Rand Road.

The ducks appeared to be domesticated and may belong to a farm in the area, police said.

The department said that the owner of the ducks should try to collect the animals or they risk going back onto Route 120 and being hurt.

Officers have been unable to identify the owners and they also unsuccessfully attempted to contact animal control.

The police department said they dialed the prompt for animal control’s answering service but it stated that an “unassigned number” had been reached before ending the call.
