Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a 17-year-old girl who went missing three days ago and was last seen near a bowling alley in Vernon Hills.

The Carpentersville Police Department said Thursday afternoon they are actively working to locate Brissa Romero.

Romero, 17, has been missing since Monday, according to Carpentersville Deputy Police Chief Kevin Stankowitz

The girl is described as being 5-foot and weighing approximately 115 pounds.

Romero has brown hair and brown eyes. A last known clothing description was not released.

She drives a gray 2008 Nissan Rogue with Illinois license plate CZ64618.

Stankowitz said Romero was last believed to have been near Bowlero, 316 Center Drive in Vernon Hills.

The Carpentersville Police Department said they have been working closely with the girl’s family to develop further leads.

The Vernon Hills Police Department has been “exceptionally helpful” in supporting the ongoing investigation, Stankowitz said.

Police did not release further information or say whether they believed Romero was in danger.
