Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who burglarized a business in Round Lake Beach, causing damage and stealing a product from the store.
The Round Lake Beach Police Department released surveillance photos on Wednesday of a subject who they said they are working to identify.
The subject is wanted in connection with a burglar that occurred at American Vapor Shop, 629 West Rollins Road.
Round Lake Beach Deputy Police Chief Ryan Rodriguez said the burglar broke the glass front door with a rock.
He entered the business and removed a single item valued at $14.99 before fleeing the scene.
Rodriguez said it is possible the suspect was scared off by the business’ alarm that had activated.
Damage to the business from the glass door being broken was estimated at $1,000.
The incident occurred around 2:05 a.m. on December 4 and police are still working to identify the burglar.
Anyone who can assist the police department in the case is asked to contact Officer Rosado by calling 847-546-2127, Extension 295, or emailing [email protected].
