Authorities say no pedestrians or car occupants were injured after a car drove onto the sidewalk and crashed into a building on the Woodstock Square Sunday morning.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and Woodstock Police Department responded around 11:01 a.m. Sunday to Berkshire Hathaway Starck Real Estate, 112 Cass Street in Woodstock, for a vehicle that struck the building.
Firefighters arrived on the scene within three minutes and confirmed a single vehicle had collided with the front of a commercial building, according to Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Communication Specialist Alex Vucha.
The collision shattered the storefront windows and pushed the lower facade inward, Vucha said.
The two adult occupants of the vehicle did not report any injuries and were not trapped in the vehicle.
Vucha said fortunately no pedestrians along the sidewalk were struck by the vehicle.
The business was closed at the time and no hazards were identified, Vucha said.
The City of Woodstock Building & Zoning Department was requested to the scene to evaluate the extent of the damage.
The Woodstock Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. It is unknown if any citations were issued.
