The FBI is investigating after a man walked into a bank in Buffalo Grove and robbed it while implying he was armed with a gun, officials said.
The Buffalo Grove Police Department responded around 3:23 p.m. Thursday to the BMO Bank, 500 West Half Day Road in Buffalo Grove, for a report of a bank robbery.
The FBI Chicago Field Office said a male suspect walked into the bank and displayed a demand note.
The suspect implied he was armed with a handgun and fled the bank in a vehicle before officers arrived.
The suspect is described as a male white, approximately 30 to 40 years old, 6-foot in height and 180 pounds.
He was wearing a long-sleeved black jacket, baseball cap, dark pants and white sneakers. He had facial hair and acne scars on his face.
No injuries were reported and the suspect remains at large.
The FBI released surveillance images of the wanted man Thursday evening.
The suspect appears to be similar to the man wanted for robbing a Bank of America branch in Waukegan on December 9. The FBI has not confirmed whether they believe the two suspects are the same.
