No injuries were reported but the roadway was closed for a couple of hours after a dump truck rolled over and spilled its load in Buffalo Grove Thursday morning.

The Buffalo Grove Fire Department and Buffalo Grove Police Department responded around 7:30 a.m. Thursday to the area of Aptakisic Road and Weiland Road for a rollover crash.

Officers arrived to find a dump truck had rolled over on Aptakisic Road just east of Weiland Road.

No other vehicles besides the truck were involved in the crash, according to a village spokesperson.

The driver was uninjured and able to exit the truck before first responders arrived.

Officers learned the driver was attempting to turn from northbound Weiland Road onto eastbound Aptakisic Road when the truck overturned onto the driver’s side.

Firefighters confirmed there were no hazardous materials present, the spokesperson said.

Eastbound Aptakisic Road was shut down at Weiland Road for approximately two hours for cleanup.

Crews worked to remove boulders and dirt from the roadway and upright the truck before reopening the road.
