UPDATE: The family reports the man has been located safe in Wisconsin.

Police are searching for a 77-year-old Round Lake Beach man considered endangered who went missing after leaving his home to drop off a television in Grayslake Monday.

The Illinois State Police activated an Endangered Missing Person Advisory for Jose I. Montano, 77, of Round Lake Beach.

The Round Lake Beach Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Montano, who went missing on Monday.

Montano was last seen at his residence in the 1600 block of Juneway Terrace in Round Lake Beach around 6:04 p.m.

Montano left the residence driving a gray 2014 Nissan SUV with Illinois license plate V284014.

Family members told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that Montano was supposedly on his way to drop off a television at a recycling center in Grayslake.

The family has not heard from Montano since he left his residence.

Montano forgot his cell phone at home and does not have needed medicine with him. His memory has also deteriorated, the family said.

Montano is described as a Hispanic male, 5-foot-4 and weighs 150 pounds.

He has white hair and was last seen wearing a blue and orange Bears baseball cap, police said.

The family said they have reached out to local hospitals but none of them had any sign of Montano.
