A Raising Cane’s fast-food restaurant opened in Algonquin — the second location in McHenry County — and celebrated its grand opening by awarding customers with free Cane’s for a year.
The company opened the doors to its newest restaurant, located at 1701 South Randall Road in Algonquin, on Thursday.
The restaurant sits in a new 13-acre development, alongside Portillo’s and Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant, on the southeast corner of Randall Road and Commons Drive.
A grand opening event attended by representatives from the Village of Algonquin and customers was held Thursday morning.
The event included a “Lucky 20” drawing that resulted in 20 customers being awarded with free Cane’s for a year.
During the event, Cane’s also donated $1,000 to the local Boys and Girls Clubs organization.
A spokesperson for Cane’s said the restaurant is serving up chicken fingers, freshly squeezed lemonade, buttery Texas toast and its signature Cane’s Sauce.
The restaurant has a spacious dining room featuring memorabilia from the Algonquin community.
“I’m so excited to be opening the newest Raising Cane’s Restaurant in the town that neighbors where I grew up, near the Elgin area, and where I’ve lived my entire life,” said Cane’s Restaurant Leader Jacob Allen.
“I’m looking forward to bringing our craveable Chicken Finger meals to the Algonquin and can’t wait to get involved with the Community and show our support,” Allen said.
The location is open from 10 a.m. to midnight on Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Algonquin location is the company’s second restaurant in McHenry County after it opened a restaurant in Crystal Lake in late 2021.
