Three people were transported to the hospital after a stabbing at a residence in Barrington Monday evening and police say charges are pending.
The Barrington Police Department and Barrington Fire Department responded around 6:30 p.m. Monday to the 200 block of Walton Street for a report of a stabbing.
A male in his 60s was reported to be slashed with a knife and bleeding from the head. Three ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
Barrington Police Chief David Dorn said the incident was domestic-related.
An initial investigation showed the victim was attacked by another member of his family, Dorn said.
Three people were transported to area hospitals as a result of the dispute.
Police arrested the offender, who remains held in custody with charges pending.
The injuries suffered in the incident were not life-threatening, Dorn added.
