UPDATE: Officials say the man was located safely by a drone operator in a field south of Chardon Road.
Police say they are actively searching with drones and canines for a 67-year-old man with dementia who went missing Tuesday from Round Lake.
The Round Lake Police Department announced Tuesday afternoon they are searching for Aleksandr Nersesov, 67, of Round Lake.
Nersesov was last seen wearing a black sweater, gray sweatpants and boots.
He is described as a male white, 5-foot-7, 170 or 180 pounds with gray hair.
Nersesov, who has dementia, may be attracted to water, police said.
He was last seen around 12 p.m. in the area of Arden Lane in Round Lake after leaving his residence.
Police officials said he is believed to be on foot and an active search was being conducted.
Police are using drones and canines to search the neighborhood.
