Michael P. Geiman, 41, of Beach Park.

The sheriff’s office says they have tracked down and arrested a man wanted for sexually assaulting a 6-year-old child while the two lived together in Beach Park.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded on February 15 to meet with a six-year-old sexual assault victim and the child’s parent.

The victim reported that Michael P. Geiman, 41, of Beach Park, was the suspect, according to Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli.

Sheriffโ€™s detectives commenced an investigation and worked with the Lake County Stateโ€™s Attorneyโ€™s Office Children’s Advocacy Center.

The investigation revealed that Geiman had been living in the same Beach Park home as the child and the childโ€™s parent, Covelli said.

Geiman sexually assaulted the child on the week of February 11, Covelli said.

Following the investigation, sheriffโ€™s detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Geiman for four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and two counts of criminal sexual abuse of a child.
