A local shelter says that a three-month-old puppy named Buzz was stolen from the backyard of his foster family’s home near Antioch Wednesday evening.

Heartland Animal Shelter, based in Wheeling, posted on social media on Thursday about one of their foster dogs being stolen.

The dog, named Buzz, was stolen from his foster’s backyard late Wednesday evening.

He was taken from a residence near Highland Avenue and Woodland Avenue in unincorporated Antioch.

The home is located in the subdivision behind Bootleggers Bar and Grill off of Grass Lake Road.

Buzz was last seen being put into a gray Jeep Wrangler Sahara.

The puppy is a three-and-a-half-month-old German Shepherd labrador mixed dog.

The animal shelter asked the community to help spread the word on the dognapping so Buzz could be reunited with his foster family.

The shelter said those with information or sightings should email them at [email protected].
