A three-month-old puppy named Buzz who was stolen from the backyard of his foster family’s home near Antioch has been safely reunited with the family.

Heartland Animal Shelter, based in Wheeling, posted on social media on Thursday about one of their foster dogs being stolen.

The dog, named Buzz, was stolen from his foster’s backyard late Wednesday evening.

He was taken from a residence near Highland Avenue and Woodland Avenue in unincorporated Antioch.

The home is located in the subdivision behind Bootleggers Bar and Grill off of Grass Lake Road.

Buzz was last seen being put into a gray Jeep Wrangler Sahara.

The puppy is a three-and-a-half-month-old German Shepherd labrador mixed dog.

The animal shelter asked the community to help spread the word on the dognapping so Buzz could be reunited with his foster family.

The shelter announced in an update Saturday that Buzz was located and returned to his foster family. It was unclear where he was located.
