A woman was arrested after she allegedly attacked a doctor, a nurse and a security guard at a hospital in Crystal Lake, court records said.

Deborah A. Muehlbauer, 49, of Crystal Lake, was charged with three counts of aggravated battery, which are Class 2 and 3 felonies.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court said Muehlbauer was at Mercyhealth Hospital, 875 South Route 31 in Crystal Lake, on March 23.

The complaint said Muehlbauer scratched a hospital security guard’s right forearm with her nails around 3:15 a.m.

Muehlbauer also allegedly struck an emergency department physician in the chest with a closed right fist, the complaint said.

The complaint said Muehlbauer battered a third person, an emergency department nurse, by kicking him in the right upper thigh with her left foot.

The Crystal Lake Police Department responded and arrested Muehlbauer on the felony charges.

She was transported to the McHenry County Jail where she was released after an initial appearance hearing.

McHenry County Judge Mark Facchini ordered Muehlbauer to have no contact with the victims, not consume alcohol, wear a SCRAM device to monitor alcohol consumption and submit to random testing.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 23.
