UPDATE: The man has been located, police said.
Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a 75-year-old man who has been missing for several months from Wauconda and is considered endangered.
The Illinois State Police activated an Endangered Missing Person Advisory for Robert Dean, 75, of Wauconda, Thursday morning.
The Wauconda Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Dean, who went missing around October 1.
Wauconda Police Department Detective Sgt. Kristan Kolar said Dean was last in contact with his family in October.
The family lives in Texas and Dean does not keep in contact with them regularly, which led to the delay in their filing of a police report.
He was expected to attend a wedding this past Saturday but did not show up. “That was the final straw that prompted them to file a missing person’s report,” Kolar said.
Dean’s last known address was in the 600 block of East Liberty Street in Wauconda.
He was evicted from that apartment last May and it is unclear where he may be, Kolar said.
Dean drives a green 2016 Jeep Wrangler utility with Illinois license plate L954310.
He has a condition that places him in danger. A clothing description was not provided.
Dean is described as a male white, 5-foot-8 inches tall, 155 pounds, with gray hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information regarding Dean’s whereabouts should contact the Wauconda Police Department at 847-526-2421 or call 911.
