One man was injured near Harvard after his utility terrain vehicle flipped over, pinning him underneath, authorities said.
Chief John Kimmel of the Harvard Fire Protection District said rescuers were dispatched to Willow Lakes Road at 10:40 a.m. Saturday for a man pinned under his utility terrain vehicle.
Kimmel said initial reports were the man was pinned under the vehicle for about an hour before rescue crews were able to extradite him.
He was flown via helicopter to a nearby hospital in critical condition, he said.
Kimmel said the age of the victim is unknown at this time.
Kimmel said McHenry County Sheriff’s Office officials were on the scene and would release additional details when they become available.
