No injuries were reported in a structure fire in a single-family home in unincorporated Lake Villa Saturday, authorities said.

Lake Ville Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Justin Biggs said crews were dispatched to the 20600 block of W. Verona Avenue in unincorporated Lake Villa at 12:51 p.m. Saturday for a working fire inside an two-story home.

Heavy fire was showing from the front of the house when firefighters arrived on scene Biggs said.

Biggs said the resident was waiting outside when firefighters arrived on scene and no persons or pets were injured in the fire.

Firefighters were forced to take out windows and walls in an extensive overhaul process to completely douse the fire, Biggs said.

The damage estimates are unknown at this time, Biggs said.
