Two “kids” were taken into custody by Grayslake Police for aimlessly wandering around the area Blackburn Drive in the College Trail subdivision, authorities posted on social media.

The kids – who closely identified as a pair of goats – were not deemed as dangerous suspects, authorities said, but did attempt to run from officers who spotted them suspiciously wandering the area Thursday morning.

The “kids” were taken into custody with the help of Grayslake Feed and Sales, authorities said.ย

The kids were unharmed in the incident and the owners picked them up a short time later, authorities said.

Police said the “kids” escaped home confinement through an issue with a fence.

The suspects were due to be transported to an area farm at the time of their escape, authorities said.

The Grayslake Police announced the incident is not under investigation and the case is closed.
