Two people were injured and transported to area hospitals following an early morning crash in Lake in the Hills.
Algonquin Road was closed in both directions for about four hours because of the 6:20 a.m. accident.
The roadway reopened at about 10 a.m.
The crash involved two vehicles at the intersection of Algonquin Road and Harvest Gate Road, media is reporting.
The driver of each vehicle was transported from the scene via ambulance to Northwestern Medicine Huntley.
Police and fire departments in the area have not released additional details of the accident or the condition of the motorists.
