
The McHenry County Division of Transportation will close eastbound lanes on the Charles J. Miller Bridge in McHenry for deck inspection on June 11, authorities said.
During the inspection of the bridge deck, eastbound traffic will be diverted to the bridge’s westbound side, officials said in a news release.
Traffic control personnel and flaggers will be present to manage the flow, officials said.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution and follow the instructions provided.
Three message boards will be in place to inform drivers of the closure. officials said.
The McHenry County Division of Transportation will inspect the bridge deck using sounding and drone inspection methods.
These assessments are essential for ensuring the bridge’s safety and integrity.
Should inclement weather arise for the one-day inspection of the bridge, the backup day will be June 12, officials said.
