No injuries were reported during a garage fire Sunday afternoon in Libertyville, authorities said.

The Libertyville Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 1900 block of Halifax Street at 3:20 p.m. Sunday, authorities said.

Crews were notified by neighbors that flames were seen from an attached garage at the home.

Upon arrival, crews found an active fire in the garage extending into the attic space, authorities said.

Fire crews had water on the fire by 3:28 p.m., authorities said, adding the fire was extinguished at 3:45 p.m.

Fire damage was contained to the garage area, authorities said. Smoke was able to creep into the house, officials said.

No residents were home at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured in the blaze, authorities said.

A damage estimate was unknown on Monday.

The fire remains under investigation, authorities said.

A mutual aid alarm box was requested during the blaze, bringing firefighters to the scene from Countryside, Mundelein, Lake Forest, Grayslake, Newport, Round Lake, Buffalo Grove, Highland Park, Lincolnshire, Gurnee, Long Grove Lake Bluff, Zion, North Chicago, and Lake Villa.

The Libertyville Police Department also responded to the scene for assistance.
