The Lake County Coroner’s Office has confirmed a severed arm that washed up on Waukegan Municipal Beach belongs to a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman who was murdered and dismembered after a date in Wisconsin in May.

Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek said via a news release Tuesday her office was notified Tuesday by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division that DNA testing confirmed the arm found on a beach in Waukegan was that of 19-year-old Sade Robinson.

Robinson was reported missing in Milwaukee on April 2, 2024, and has since been identified as a victim in a case in Milwaukee County’s jurisdiction.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office worked closely with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office since the discovery of the arm on Saturday, May 11, 2024, the release reads.

Robinson’s family was notified of the DNA confirmation by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday.

The Waukegan Police Department responded around 8 p.m. Saturday, May 11, to the Waukegan Municipal Beach, 201 East Sea Horse Drive.

A person walking along the beach saw what they believed to be a human arm on the ground.

Officers arrived and found the arm next to a fallen tree trunk at the beach.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene.

They confirmed the arm belonged to a human and the right arm was “mostly intact” from the shoulder down, authorities said previously.

The arm was transported to the coroner’s office where a forensic pathologist conducted an exam.

Newton said a forensic anthropologist was also requested to perform a further study.

Maxwell S. Anderson, 33, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, (pictured) was charged in the murder of 19-year-old Sade Robinson, who he went on a first date with in early April, according to court records. | Provided Photos

The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said last month that Robinson was murdered and dismembered following a date Robinson had with Maxwell S. Anderson, 33, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the Twisted Fisherman restaurant in Milwaukee.

She went missing shortly after the date, authorities said.

A criminal complaint filed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office said Anderson intentionally killed Robinson, mutilated her remains, and set fire to her car in an attempt to obscure potential evidence of the killing.

The two were seen at the bar inside the restaurant eating and having drinks together before leaving just over an hour later.

A severed human leg was later discovered at Warnimont Park in Cudahy, Wisconsin, and a severed human foot was later located in a wooded area near 31st Street and Galena in Milwaukee.

Anderson is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson.

Waukegan 6th Ward Alderman Keith Turner was censured by the Waukegan City Council by a 6-to-3 margin as punishment for posting a picture of the arm on social media. He has since removed a picture of the appendage from his social media.
