The Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District responded around 9:30 a.m. Saturday to the 800 block of North Edinburgh Court in Round Lake for a report of a structure fire.

The residents were able to evacuate from the three-story apartment building.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire from the ground and then enter the building to check if it extended.

Hair said firefighters remained on the scene performing overhaul operations for approximately 45 minutes.
