Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a vehicle wanted in a hit-and-run crash that left two people on a motorcycle injured in Lake Bluff.

The Lake Bluff Police Department, Lake Bluff Fire Department, Libertyville Fire Department and Lake Forest Fire Department responded around 7:55 p.m. on July 27 to the area of Green Bay Road and Belle Foret Drive in Lake Bluff for a vehicle crash.

The incident involved two vehicles — a motorcycle and a sedan.

The sedan, believed to be a 2005-2011 BMW 3 Series, fled the scene before officers arrived.

Two people riding on the motorcycle suffered lacerations but were conscious and breathing at the scene.

Police said on Thursday they were seeking the public’s assistance in locating the BMW.

The BMW was white and had damage to the passenger side mirror.

It was last seen driving northbound on Green Bay Road from the scene.

Police released a photo of the vehicle, which they said was not an actual photo of the car involved but similar, in hopes of the public recognizing it.
