A portion of Route 12 was shut down in both directions in Richmond for nearly two hours after a semi-truck brought down wires and damaged a pole.

The Richmond Fire Protection District and Richmond Police Department responded around 11:48 a.m. Wednesday to EMS Industrial and Services Company, 10800 North Main Street in Richmond, for a report of a vehicle crash.

Fire officials said a semi-truck was pulling into the business for a delivery.

The semi-trailer caught onto wires from a pole to the building due to a clearance issue.

The wires were snagged onto the trailer, which broke the pole, fire officials said.

Route 12 was shut down in both directions from Route 173 to Golden Hawk Road.
