No injuries were reported after a car crashed into the side of a Walgreens in Buffalo Grove, causing damage to the store, Saturday morning.
The Buffalo Grove Fire Department and Buffalo Grove Police Department responded around 10:34 a.m. Saturday to Walgreens, 15 North Buffalo Grove Road in Buffalo Grove, for a report of a car into the building.
The store manager called 911 to report the collision and said they believed the building was partially collapsing.
Fire crews arrived to find a black sedan that crashed into the south side of the store.
The sedan had penetrated through the brick wall and knocked down products and shelves on the opposite side of the wall.
No one in the store was injured and the elderly female driver was uninjured.
A tow truck responded and removed the sedan, which sustained minor damage, from the scene.
A board-up company was called to board up the damaged structure and the village building department was notified.
The cause of the crash was being investigated by the Buffalo Grove Police Department. It is unknown if any citations were issued.
