A male victim suffered apparent serious injuries and was flown to the hospital after falling down almost a dozen stairs at a residence near Woodstock Friday evening.
The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department responded around 5 p.m. Friday to the 10000 block of Lucas Road in unincorporated Woodstock for a report of a fall victim.
A 911 caller reported a male victim fell down approximately 10 stairs.
A LifeNet medical helicopter was requested to transport the victim.
The victim, who was reported to be conscious and breathing, was transported by ambulance to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Huntley, according to fire department radio traffic.
The LifeNet helicopter landed at the hospital’s helipad and the patient was transferred to the helicopter.
The helicopter flew the victim around 6 p.m. to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, which is a Level 1 trauma center.
Further details on the circumstances of the incident and the victim’s current condition were not immediately known.
