A woman was transported to the hospital after a multi-vehicle, head-on crash that shut down the roadway for over an hour near Woodstock Wednesday morning.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded around 11:51 a.m. Wednesday to the 3500 block of Country Club Road in unincorporated Woodstock.
Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Public Information Officer Alex Vucha said crews received a report of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries.
Emergency crews arrived within five minutes and found a three-vehicle crash with moderate to heavy damage in the roadway.
A total of four people occupied the three vehicles, Vucha said. Two ambulances were called to the scene.
An adult female was transported to Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital with minor injuries.
Vucha said a second adult female was evaluated by paramedics but declined transport to the hospital. Two adult males reported no injuries.
The roadway was closed in both directions for over an hour. Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
