Authorities say a man suffered critical injuries after he was apparently ejected from a truck during a rollover crash on Route 14 near Harvard Friday evening.

The Harvard Fire Protection District responded around 5:56 p.m. Friday to the 9500 block of Route 14 in unincorporated Harvard for a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash.

Harvard Fire Protection District Public Information Officer Alex Vucha said first responders found a heavily damaged pickup truck overturned on its side.

Debris from the crash was scattered across the front yard of a home.

An adult male was discovered outside the vehicle after apparently being ejected during the crash, Vucha said.

Mercyhealth MD-1, an emergency physician response unit, was called to the scene.

Vucha said paramedics and MD-1 began lifesaving measures at the scene by providing advanced medical care.

A medical helicopter was initially requested but poor visibility caused by rain and heavy fog prevented the helicopter from safely responding.
