Three children, including a baby, were among five hospitalized after a t-bone crash involving an SUV and a minivan in Woodstock Saturday evening.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded around 9:51 p.m. Saturday to Tryon Street and Calhoun Street for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
Fire crews arrived within five minutes to find a t-bone-style collision involving a white minivan and a silver SUV, according to Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Public Information Officer Alex Vucha.
The two vehicles both sustained moderate damage.
Vucha said four ambulances were requested to the scene to provide patient care and transport.
The white minivan was occupied by two women and a baby. All three were transported to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with minor injuries.
The silver SUV was occupied by four juveniles. Two were transported to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital with minor injuries and the other two were released at the scene, Vucha said.
All roads leading into the intersection were closed during the incident to ensure the safety of responders and those involved, Vucha said.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was assisted by the Marengo Fire & Rescue District and the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department.
The Woodstock Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
