Two men have died after they were found wounded in apparent separate shootings on the same residential block 30 minutes apart in Waukegan Sunday evening.
The Waukegan Police Department and Waukegan Fire Department responded around 7:20 p.m. Sunday to the 1900 block of West Greenwood Avenue for a report of a shooting.
Officers and paramedics arrived to find a man in his 20s who had been shot and was bleeding.

He was unconscious and not breathing and officers began performing CPR, according to fire department radio traffic.
Paramedics arrived and rushed him to Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan where he was pronounced dead, Lake County Chief Deputy Coroner Steve Newton said.
Police later located a second person who had been shot down the street from the first scene in the 1700 block of West Greenwood Avenue.

Paramedics arrived just after 8 p.m. and confirmed the man in his 30s was dead at the scene, Newton said.
He was discovered outside in the yard of a home.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office responded to the hospital and the home to take possession of both subjects.

Autopsies are expected to be performed later on Monday, Newton said.
The Waukegan Police Department Major Crime Scene Unit responded to the incident.
Sources said that while the two shootings were separate, they were a result of the same incident.
The Waukegan Police Department has not released the circumstances of the case but said information is expected to be released later.
