Authorities are seeking help in locating a teenage girl who has been missing for nearly three months from Wisconsin and may be in the Waukegan or Chicago area.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) said on Monday that they are asking for the public’s help in the search for Kayla Sobczak.
Monday marked the woman’s 19th birthday. She has been missing from Kenosha, Wisconsin, since December 17.
Sobczak may be in Kenosha, Racine or Milwaukee, Wisconsin, or in Illinois in Waukegan or Chicago, the NCMEC said.
Sobczak is described as a mixed race female, 5-foot-3, 175 pounds, with brown eyes and curly/kinky black hair.
The Kenosha Police Department said she was last seen wearing a black windbreaker or sweatshirt and dark pants.
Sobczak was reported to have been picked up by an unidentified male possibly in a charcoal gray sedan, police said.
Her destination on the night she was last seen was unknown.
Police said Sobczak has a history of mental health issues, drug addiction and prostitution.
Anyone with information is asked to call NCMEC at 800-THE-LOST or Kenosha Police Department at 262-656-1234.
