Jordan K. Hein, 25, of Huntley.

Police have arrested a Huntley man who they say was found in possession of child sexual abuse material, which showed some as young as infants, following a search warrant.

The Huntley Police Department said they received a tip in February from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

The ICAC Task Force obtained information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) data system about possible child pornography being possessed by an internet subscriber, according to Huntley Deputy Police Chief Kevin Keane.

Keane said the Huntley Police Department Investigations Division conducted an investigation that led to the identification of the unknown internet subscriber in question as Jordan K. Hein, 25, of Huntley.

Huntley police officers executed a search warrant at Hein’s residence in the 10300 block of Sawgrass Lane in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

Investigators from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office assisted Huntley Police Department detectives in the examination and analysis of several seized electronic devices.

Keane said Hein was taken into custody based on evidence gained during the search warrant.

“This is still an active investigation and no further details will be released at this time,” Keane said.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court alleges the material Hein was in possession of involved children younger than 13 years old, some as young as infants.

Court documents said Hein possessed several reproductions of child pornography in various forms and on the cloud. Prosecutors alleged he “openly supports pedophila,” court documents said.

Hein was charged with five counts of child pornography, a Class 2 felony, and he was transported to the McHenry County Jail.

The McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office filed a petition to detain Hein pending trial, arguing that he poses a real and present danger.

McHenry County Judge Cynthia Lamb denied the petition and released Hein from custody on Thursday with pre-trial conditions.
