Deerfield Police are investigating a rash of early morning burglaries that struck nine businesses.
Deerfield Police said in their initial statement Friday that they wanted to inform residents there were reports of several small business burglaries that took place overnight between March 13 and March 14.
Police added that there is no immediate threat to the community, and all incidents are currently under active investigation.
The burglaries took place at three locations in the 700 to 800 block of Waukegan Road, two locations in the 600 block of Deerfield Road, and four locations in the 400 to 700 block of Lake Cook Road.
The burglaries follow the same pattern as others occurring in North Shore communities, the release states, where the offender or offenders spend a brief amount of time inside the business and appear to be searching for cash.
Deerfield Police said they are working with other jurisdictions on the investigation.
“We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Deerfield Police Department,” the statement reads.Â
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Deerfield Police Department at (847) 945-8636 or by dialing 9-1-1.
