A driver is lucky to have escaped injury after rolling her vehicle on its side on an embankment in the snow in unincorporated McHenry County, authorities said.
The Harvard Fire Protection District was dispatched to the 19900 block of McGuire Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with possible entrapment at 10:49 a.m. Sunday morning, said Harvard Fire Protection District Public Information Officer Alex Vucha.
Upon arrival, paramedics located the crash site just east of the intersection of McGuire Road and Lindwall Road, where a vehicle had gone down an embankment near a creek, Vucha said.
The female driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was out of the car upon the arrival of emergency personnel.
Paramedics evaluated the driver at the scene, but she declined any additional medical treatment, Vucha said.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash, Vucha said.
