Fire crews arrived to find an SUV that had crashed into the front of a medical office building.

Lake Zurich Deputy Police Chief Colin Gaffney said officers learned a 62-year-old man was driving a 2012 Buick in the parking lot.

The man’s boot got stuck under a pedal, causing him to drive into the building.

There was minor damage to the building but no extensive structural damage was reported, Gaffney said.

The driver was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for an evaluation.

A board-up company was called to shore up a damaged window that was struck by the car.
