The complaint said Roman was also found in possession of a Smith and Wesson M&P 45 handgun, a Taurus G2C handgun, a Sig Sauer P365 handgun and a Taurus G3 handgun.

The complaint said Roman possessed the guns illegally as he does not have a valid Firearm Owner’s Identification card. Ammunition was also recovered.

Officers with the Crystal Lake Police Department arrested Roman on Monday morning following the discovery.

Court documents said Roman sold drugs and firearms out of his home, located in the 300 block of Briarwood Drive in Crystal Lake, and also sold drugs to minors while advertising on social media.

Roman also picked up juveniles to sell them drugs and to allow them to use drugs in his vehicles, court documents said.

The McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office filed a petition to detain Roman pending trial.

McHenry County Judge Cynthia Lamb granted the petition and said Roman poses a real and present threat to the community, including juveniles and a local high school.

Lamb said the network that Roman has established in his “short career” makes it so there are no conditions of release the court could impose to stop his operation.

Roman remains held in the McHenry County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court again on Thursday for a hearing on a motion.
