A car crashed into musician Billy Corgan’s restaurant in downtown Highland Park just months after another vehicle drove into the building, which left two people injured.

Madame ZuZu’s Emporium said late Tuesday afternoon that a crash occurred outside the restaurant and cafe earlier in the day.

A vehicle struck the front of the cafe, located at 1876 First Street in Highland Park. No injuries were reported.

“Thank you to everyone who checked in and offered support,” the business said.

Madame ZuZu’s Emporium is a vegan restaurant, tea shop and performance space in downtown Highland Park.

It was founded in 2012 by Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan and his wife, Chloe Mendel.

The crash was the second time a vehicle struck Madame ZuZu’s in span of several months.

The Highland Park Fire Department and Highland Park Police Department were called on October 30 to Madame ZuZu’s Emporium after a red Mini Cooper drove through the restaurant and cafe and came to rest halfway into the building.

The driver of the vehicle and a patron of the restaurant were both transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Mendel said in a statement that the patron injured in the crash was her mother Jenny, who was spending the day and lunching with her son Augustus.

Mendel said that her son was able to leap out of the way and was not injured.

The vehicle in the Tuesday crash collided into almost the same spot as the October crash.

City officials said both crashes at the establishment were accidental.
