A 60-year-old Streamwood man was injured after being struck by a landscaping trailer near Marengo, authorities said.
McHenry County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer Samantha Lacina said the man was struck on private property near Marengo and Leech roads in unincorporated McHenry County at about 9:20 a.m. Tuesday.
A preliminary investigation shows the injured man was pulling a hose out of a building while a landscaping truck with a towed trailer was backing up.
The trailer hit the man, injuring him, Lacina said.
The unidentified victim was transported to Northwestern Huntley Hospital for treatment.
Lacina said no charges were filed and the incident was determined to be unintentional.
